Glaucoma: Diagnosis and Advanced Management

Glaucoma remains one of the leading causes of irreversible vision loss, making early detection and effective long-term management essential. This session explores advances in glaucoma diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. Discussions will include open-angle glaucoma, angle-closure glaucoma, childhood glaucoma, ocular hypertension, and complex glaucoma cases. Advanced imaging, visual field analysis, artificial intelligence, and digital monitoring technologies will be considered for improving early detection and disease progression assessment. Treatment approaches will include medications, laser procedures, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and advanced surgical techniques. Personalized treatment strategies based on individual risk factors and disease characteristics will also be explored. Experts will discuss challenges related to adherence, disease progression, and long-term patient monitoring.
