Uveitis & Ocular Inflammatory Diseases

Uveitis and ocular inflammation present diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their diverse etiologies and systemic associations. This track will address the spectrum of uveitic conditions, including anterior, intermediate, posterior, and panuveitis, as well as masquerade syndromes. Attendees will gain insight into modern diagnostic algorithms using multimodal imaging, PCR-based pathogen detection, and autoimmune marker profiling. Treatment topics will span corticosteroids, immunosuppressive therapies, biologics, and local drug delivery systems. Special focus will be given to infection-related uveitis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis-associated uveitis, and ocular manifestations of systemic diseases such as sarcoidosis, Behçet’s disease, and tuberculosis. Experts will discuss strategies for balancing efficacy and safety, monitoring treatment response, and preventing vision-threatening complications. The session will also cover advances in clinical trials and novel therapeutic agents. Designed for ophthalmologists, rheumatologists, and immunologists, this track promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and equips clinicians with a structured approach to managing complex ocular inflammation cases.
